Peter Shor

Peter Shor, professor vid MIT och Caltech-alumni, visade omvärlden 1995, när han var vid AT&T, att det går att konstruera självrättande koder även i qubitsystem. Året innan hade han dessutom presenterat en faktoriseringsalgoritm uppkallad efter honom. Båda dessa händelser bidrog till en ökad akademisk aktivitet inom området om kvantberäkningar.
