Donald Knuth

Donald Ervin Knuth, född 10 januari 1938, är en amerikansk datavetare och Professor Emeritus of the Art of Computer Programming vid Stanford, antagligen mest känd som skaparen av TeX och författaren till The Art of Computer Programming.

Han har även gjort en mängd bidrag till den teoretiska datavetenskapen, för vilket han 1974 belönades med Turingpriset. ACM ger också årligen ut ett pris (http://sigact.acm.org/prizes/knuth/) i hans ära.
