Eric S. Raymond (ESR), född 4 december 1957, är en kampsport- och prickskytteintresserad hackare från USA. Han är bl.a. känd för arbete med Jargon File, fetchmail, Emacs, INTERCAL och Nethack, dokumentation av diverse mjukvara, samt en rad böcker inklusive The Cathedral and the Bazaar. Förespråkar ofta och högljutt liberalism, Open source och högnivåspråk i stil med Lisp och Python.
